A Great Big THANK YOU!!!

A few weeks back, COS was stunned to learn that someone had entered our office unlawfully and stole from us.  We lost several things including but not limited to a TV, DVD player, Xbox game system, luggage, and coffee beans!  The toughest to swallow was several cell phones where stolen which made communicating with our youth quite tricky.  For the youth who didn’t know our phones were gone, they were suddenly left wondering why we weren’t responding.  That was not a nice feeling.

But you know…the Cowichan Valley is a wonderful community and stepped up to help when we were in need.  We fielded so many phone calls from people willing to help replace our items or offering to donate cash so we could purchase items that went missing.  We were also touched to receive phone calls from clients from years gone by just wanting to tell us they were sorry this happened.

So we would like to thank you all for caring about our agency and the youth we serve.  Thank you!

Greg & Cindy of Cowichan Sound & Cellular – replacing our cell phones

Michael MacPherson of RBS Managed – donation of TV and Surveillance Cameras

Natalie Ensz and John Horgan – donation of Xbox and accessories to replace what was stolen from one of our clients

Alexis – Offering to accept donations on behalf of Community Options Society at her Free Yard Sale on June 25th

We would also like to thank Breanna and the Royal Bank of Canada for using their day of service to paint our youth group space.  They did such a beautiful job!  Our youth have commented “it’s much happier now!”  Here’s a pic including our chalkboard wall!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
