Youth of the Cowichan Valley are inviting you to come out and show your PRIDE and support for the LGBTQ2SIA+ community in the first Youth Pride Parade this community has seen in 10 years! You are welcome to cheer as folks go by, or take part in the parade!
If you would like to be in the parade, meet us at the front of Cowichan Secondary School and walk with us from Rainbow to Rainbow! We will meet at 1pm to register and the parade begins at 1:30pm. The parade is followed by a celebration at Charles Hoey Park.
We will sashay, duck-walk, vogue, and pose our way through to the back of the high school, onto Festubert Street, turn right on Coronation Avenue, left onto Duncan Street, and end at the Rainbow crosswalk near Charles Hoey Park and the Duncan Garage.
*Please note that there won’t be vehicles in the parade but bicycles and self-propelled devices are welcome, there will be volunteers to help with accessibility needs*
